Include lenders, title companies, mortgage reps, home inspectors and others who are members of the Association in your target list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select your Host Committee.\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and recruit up to 4 hosts for each event\n<ul>\n<li>Must be Major Investors or willing to step up to Major Investor at event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Print or email invitations sent to target attendees.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NAR cannot send or reimburse for hard-mailed invitations<\/strong> You may choose to send printed invites at the expense of the hosting association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>4 Weeks Prior to Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Host Committee begins making phone calls to target attendees.\n<ul>\n<li>Main role of the host is to make personal calls to \u201cenroll\u201d prospects after the event invitations are sent.\u00a0 Script\/Talking Points provided by NAR Staff (Stick to enrollment dialogue!)<\/li>\n<li>Note: When calls are not made, success rate dramatically decreases!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2 Weeks Prior to Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit Final Agenda and Run-of-Show to NAR Representative.\u00a0 The ideal Event Agenda should include:\n<ul>\n<li>Drinks and casual conversation as guests arrive<\/li>\n<li>Welcome and introductions by the host or hosts<\/li>\n<li>State and Local Legislative Updates<\/li>\n<li>NAR Representative Presentation<\/li>\n<li>Challenge to invest (The \u201cAsk\u201d) is made by the designated host<\/li>\n<li>President\u2019s Circle Presentation\u00a0(You\u00a0<u>must<\/u>\u00a0present the President\u2019s Circle program to the invitees)<\/li>\n<li>Pledges and\/or investments are collected and new Major Investors are recognized<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Request any RPAC Materials Needed from NAR\n<ul>\n<li>Bi-fold \u201cInvestor Levels\u201d Cards \u00a0(These clearly show the different initial levels, sustaining levels and levels with President\u2019s Circle)<\/li>\n<li>RPAC Brochures (available but not in front of guests)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>1-2 Weeks Prior to Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Email invite\/confirmation email sent out from Host Committee to Attendees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Week of Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Secure any necessary speaker bios.<\/li>\n<li>Select one or two<u>\u00a0<\/u><em>new<\/em>\u00a0Major Investors ahead of time to be \u201cplanted\u201d in the audience to stand up and announce their intent to invest and challenge others to \u201cstep up\u201d and invest as well.<\/li>\n<li>Last minute details and arrangements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Day Before Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Confirmation phone calls from Host Committee to event RSVPs.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you have enough of the following available for every attendee:\n<ul>\n<li>Major Investor Bi-folds<\/li>\n<li>RPAC Brochures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>After Event<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the Major Investor Event Process Guide for updating the Attendees List and submitting your expense receipts to NAR for reimbursement.<\/li>\n<li>Send a thank-you email to everyone you invited.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize your new investors and Major Investors.<\/li>\n<li>Make follow up calls to no-shows and make the \u201cAsk\u201d.\n<ul>\n<li>These investments can count toward your overall event totals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Follow the Major Investor Event Reimbursement Checklist to submit your expenses and be reimbursed by NAR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"6-8 Weeks Prior to Event Request your event by visiting www.realtorparty.realtor and click on \u201cMajor Investor Event Fundraising\u201d under Programs &amp; Grants.
