We engaged in 57 Opportunity Races throughout the primary season, with a 93% success rate.<\/p>\n<p>Now, as the general election approaches, we\u2019re redoubling our efforts to elect federal champions. We\u2019re <strong>taking 97 Opportunity Races live before Election Day<\/strong>, with nearly 50\/50 support for Democrats (48) and Republicans (49).<\/p>\n<p>On the state and local level, our <a href=\"https:\/\/realtorparty.realtor\/campaign-services\/independent-expenditures\"><strong>State and Local Independent Expenditures Program<\/strong><\/a> <strong>has supported more than 400 REALTOR\u00ae Party champions <\/strong>this year, and as of last month, every state and D.C. has now participated in the program over its lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, NAR was <strong>proud to partner with <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalvoterregistrationday.org\">National Voter Registration Day<\/a><\/strong>. Over 93% of REALTORS\u00ae are registered to vote \u2014 let\u2019s get to 100%. <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalvoterregistrationday.org\/register-to-vote\/\"><strong>Check your voter registration status<\/strong><\/a> to ensure you can vote for REALTOR\u00ae Party champions and policies to protect property ownership.<\/p>\n<h3><em><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">National Flood Insurance Program Lapse Averted\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Though concerns arose in September about a potential government shutdown, <strong>Congress passed a funding package<\/strong> on September 25 that also <strong>extended the National Flood Insurance Program&#8217;s (NFIP) authority to provide flood insurance<\/strong> through December 20.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NAR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/washington-report\/national-flood-insurance-program-update?fbclid=IwY2xjawFxAdRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHU5xweEVDrXWMABB_IVY7PUepGbT999VTjzePzWV_g5x8PDWkQEjalTt9Q_aem_ZMvnkFXMhiZWoRFZJog9bQ\">urged congressional leaders<\/a> to ensure an on-time NFIP extension<\/strong>.
