This group of talented GADs plays an important role in planning the agenda for the GAD Institute, ensuring the program remains relevant, engaging, and responsive to the needs of our community. I want to extend my sincere thanks to those who have stepped up to serve.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we\u2019ve just wrapped up the new GAD Orientation in Washington, D.C. This year\u2019s class brought a strong group of new GADs into the fold, and I was impressed by their energy and passion.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, I\u2019m looking forward to seeing many of you in Boston for NAR NXT this November. This event always provides a great opportunity for GADs to connect, share best practices, and learn from one another. It\u2019s also a chance to re-energize and get inspired as we head into the new year. As a reminder, RPAC, President\u2019s Circle, and Pro-Property Platform investments count towards a member\u2019s lifetime giving history.<\/p>\n<p>Before submitting a\u00a0Hall\u00a0of\u00a0Fame\u00a0nomination, NAR\u00a0<strong><u>MUST<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong>confirm the member&#8217;s lifetime giving history.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due to the large volume at the beginning\u00a0of\u00a0January,\u00a0<strong>the deadline to request lifetime giving histories is January 20, 2025<\/strong>. Nomination forms with unconfirmed giving histories will not be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Lifetime giving histories are pulled from Aristotle under \u201cIndividual Summary Reports.\u201d The older recognition years will need reconciliation depending on data received during your state\u2019s data conversion and initial NAR data conversion long ago (usually before 2010).<\/li>\n<li>If lifetime giving before 2010 in Aristotle does not match your state accounting records, those with data entry permissions on your team can add needed receipts. What\u2019s a solicitation?<\/p>\n<p>A solicitation is any communication that encourages support of RPAC or facilitates the making of a contribution to RPAC. For example, if you make a post saying, \u201cPlease donate to RPAC,\u201d that is a solicitation. What about if you post a donate link for RPAC, but do not include words of encouragement? That\u2019s still a solicitation because it \u201cfacilitates the making of a contribution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can communicate about RPAC without making a solicitation. The key is to stick to facts. For example, you can post information about the number of contributors, the amount raised, and the candidates RPAC supported. However, make sure to not include additional language which could turn it into a solicitation.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, RPAC solicitations can only be made to the solicitable class. It\u2019s easy for a communication to be a solicitation, even if you do not intend to, so always double check.<\/p>\n<p>Questions? As a reminder, RPAC, President\u2019s Circle, and Pro-Property Platform investments count towards a member\u2019s lifetime giving history. Before submitting a\u00a0Hall\u00a0of\u00a0Fame\u00a0nomination, NAR\u00a0MUST\u00a0confirm the member&#8217;s lifetime giving history. Due to the large volume at the beginning\u00a0of\u00a0January,\u00a0the deadline to request lifetime giving histories is January 20, 2025. Nomination forms with unconfirmed giving histories will not be accepted. Lifetime giving histories are pulled from Aristotle under \u201cIndividual Summary Reports.\u201d The older recognition years will need reconciliation depending on data received during your state\u2019s data conversion and initial NAR data conversion long ago (usually before 2010). If lifetime giving before 2010 in Aristotle does not match your state accounting records, those with data entry permissions on your team can add needed receipts. When confirming the giving history with NAR, let us know if the member\u2019s early giving was reconciled based on the state record.
