As the brief states, \u201cRent control laws like the RSL exacerbate housing supply and affordability problems by reducing the quantity of available housing. They also reduce housing quality, decrease consumer mobility and entry into the housing market, and provide an inequitable solution to issues of housing affordability.\u201d<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/newsroom\/associations-file-joint-brief-to-challenge-ny-rent-control-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">READ MORE<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner content_placement=&#8221;top&#8221;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/newsroom\/existing-home-sales-edged-higher-by-0-2-in-may\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">0.2%<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]Existing-home sales edged higher by 0.2% in May. Sales were mixed among the four major U.S. regions, with the South and West posting improvements and the Northeast and Midwest experiencing pullbacks.
