An association, and its members, need to be involved in the planning, designing, funding and\/or building of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maximum grant amount is awarded to reflect projects that are association-led or projects where the REALTOR\u00ae Association is a main partner<\/li>\n<li>Association engagement: fundraising and\/or donations, planning, organizing, Realtor Action Day project, serves on project committee\/task force, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Realtor engagement: site clean-up, planning, coordinating, serves on project committee\/task force, building of project, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Multi-Functional &amp; Community-Orientated<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Benefits everyone in the community (not for targeted groups)<\/li>\n<li>Includes several amenities (seating, kiosks, landscaping, artwork, etc.) that everyone can enjoy<\/li>\n<li>Compliant with city permitting and zoning<\/li>\n<li>Open and accessible all or most of the time (not inside buildings, not behind locked doors\/gates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Usage of Grant Funds: Funded and not funded<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Funds can be used for amenities (street furniture, benches, tables, paint, signage, building materials, landscaping, murals, etc.), site preparation, artist fees, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Funds can\u2019t be used on marketing, food, plague, opening day activities. In addition, there are activities none of our grants will fund: REALTOR\u00ae association staff time\/hours; general operating expenses; fundraising contributions; registration fees for REALTOR\u00ae education or other events;\u00a0 donations, cash prizes or purchase of gifts and prizes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Application Process: Level 1 and Level 2<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit the online application and attachments (site photo, budget, design concept plan)<\/li>\n<li>Staff will schedule a brief phone call to discuss project and application\n<ul>\n<li>You may need to provide additional information<\/li>\n<li>You can have your partners on the call<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Staff will review the application after all required information is received<\/li>\n<li>Staff will contact the association within 7 business days after the phone call provided all information is provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Project Completion: Level 1 and Level 2<\/h3>\n<p>All projects must be completed within one year of the grant application approval and, the following needs to be completed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Email photo(s) of the completed project to <a href=\"mailtoPlacemakingGrants@nar.realtor\">PlacemakingGrants@nar.realtor<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/realtorparty.realtor\/community-outreach\/placemaking\/evaluation.html\">Submit the evaluation form<\/a> outlining impact of project (i.e. use\/visits by the community; media coverage; other community projects, community response, outcomes, etc.).\u00a0 If you do not submit an evaluation from, you will not be able to apply for another grant.<\/li>\n<li>Get the word out on your placemaking project via the <a href=\"https:\/\/realtorparty.realtor\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/News-Release-Template-2020.docx\">News Release template<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Optional: Celebrate your success. We encourage you to consider having a \u201cribbon cutting\u201d ceremony or similar event and inviting members, the community, stakeholders and media.<\/li>\n<li>Optional: Write a blog post to be included in the <a href=\"http:\/\/spacestoplaces.blogs.realtor.org\"><em>Spaces to Places<\/em><\/a> blog.
